Capable Community
When we work together, we are more than capable of finding a way.
Now, more than ever before, it is critical that the community begin taking action to support our Texas public schools. It is clear that our current state leaders and federal government are not interested in protecting and funding the civil liberty of a free and appropriate public education for all. So, it’s time to gather as a community to protect what we can for our public school students.
This is already sounding a little bleak; just trust that I will make this entertaining!
Here’s the game plan:
Monday nights at 6pm we’re gathering as a Cruise Capable Community!
The whole family is invited, so please bring the kids (it’s important they understand what’s happening to public schools since they go to them)!
If there is a school board meeting-WE’RE GOING!
Otherwise, we will gather together to learn what actions we CAN take at this time because when we work together, we are more than capable of finding a way.
Starting September 15th, there will be a four week series of a Banned-Book Book Club. Which means we will select a book to read as a community that has notoriously been banned in order to explore the circumstances that would lead a book to be banned and forming perspective as an individual.
